Sermon Notes: The Exodus: The Plagues, Part 1
If all of us could read Hebrew, this is what we would have spotted in our story so far. Pharaoh enslaved God's people and made their lives kabed (hard/heavy) (Ex. 5:9). In response, YHWH hardens or "kabed" Pharaoh's heart (Ex. 7:14). Pharaoh's heart will be stubborn and hard. But by the end of our journey, both the actions of Pharaoh and YHWH will be culminated in YHWH's 'ikkabeda (glory) (Ex. 14:4, 17, 18).
