Meet Pastor Ed
Ed & Tina Schoenleber bring to Calvary a lifetime of ministry and leadership. Married since 1978 they are the parents of five children all grown and out of the home.
Professionally, Ed was a Civil Engineer and has worked for an international Engineering and Construction Company and aerospace company during the course of his career. He and Tina also successfully owned and operated a Christian bookstore and coffee house.
Non-professionally (volunteer), Ed and Tina were founding members of New Song Church in Bolingbrook, IL in 1992, where Ed served as Elder, Chairman, Facilities lead, Property manager. They together taught Sunday school on the topics of marriage and parenting. Tina was engaged in Precepts Bible studies and trained to lead and present these studies at New Song. In addition, Tina served on the Mission team of New Song Church. They developed and led the Men’s ministry until moving to Michigan in 2010.
Ed has also coached up to Junior High-age football and Little League baseball. He has also provided training and instruction to league coaches while developing organizational handbooks for coaching youth football and practice planning tools for baseball.
Ed returned to school at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and received his first graduate Certificate in Spiritual Formation and Discipleship in November 2013.
They joined the church in April 2013 where Ed serves as Executive Pastor and Tina serves in the Hospitality ministries. Tina and Ed provide Equipping-U (Adult Sunday School) instruction at Calvary in Marriage, Parenting and Spiritual Formation classes. In addition, Tina serves as a volunteer at the OAC (Ottawa Area Center) and a substitute assistance teacher in the Grand Haven School district.
