Calvary is committed to the biblical admonision to care for one another. Our Compassionate Care Committee seeks to spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples by . . .
- Permitting the people of Calvary to express love and care for their brothers and sisters facing hardship.
- Giving members of Calvary access to teaching, training, and support for managing their personal resources as good stewards of what God has entrusted to them, in the most responsible, God-glorifying way.
- Recognizing that God is the provider of all that we need, the Committee will handle God's resources within Calvary and the community to ensure that the primary needs of every member are met. Assistance may also be extended to regular attendees and church neighbors.
- Ministering in such a way that Calvary is known by those inside and outside our fellowship as a discerning, yet caring, compassionate and responsive congregation

Widow/Widowers Ministry
Calvary Baptist Church’s Compassionate Care committee exists to minister to you with prayer and practical care. In 2011 we desire to continue to expand this ministry in caring for our widows both in prayer and in practical care. Our Team, under the deacon leadership representative of our Compassionate Care Committee, will be launching this new and exciting ministry to our widows and widowers.

Visitation - Hospital and Shut-ins
Our Compassionate Care Ministry will be sharing opportunities for people to visit some of our shut-in's, our residents of Heartland Healthcare (our neighbors), and those in the hospital. The goal of this ministry is be an encouragement to those who may be lonely, discouraged, and hopeless because of various life circumstances. We want to bring encouragement and hope to those who cannot participate in our worship services.

Memorial Service Luncheon
We have a team of ladies from our JOY Adult Bible Fellowship class that coordinate Memorial service luncheons to families that have experienced the loss of a loved one. It is our desire to show Christ's love and comfort during a difficult time.

Biblical Counseling
Calvary offers free Biblical Counseling to our church members and people in our community. Many of our staff have received specific training through NANC and we have the vision of expanding our Biblical Counseling ministry in the future. You may call the church office if you would like to learn more about this ministry.

Meal Ministry
Meals are provided for mom's with new babies and for various hospitalizations. Check with your ABF leadership to learn of opportunities to minister.
